Born March 16, 1860, in Brock Townsip, Ontario, Canada, to Winthrop and Laura (Moore) Johnson. Charles N. Johnson attended Port Perry High School in Ontario, received his L.D.S. from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Toronto, in 1881, and his M.D.S. from the same school in 1921. Johnson received his D.D.S. from the Chicago College of Dental Surgery in 1885. He married Fannie Patterson on March 7, 1883, and they had two children.
